To empower individuals, educate families, enhance communities and together, celebrate the extraordinary lives of people with Down syndrome.
The
Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati (DSAGC) partners with
families and others to create an environment in which individuals with
Down syndrome are welcomed with fairness, enthusiasm, and encouragement
in the community. We embrace inclusion at all levels of community life:
schools, workplace, neighborhoods and churches. We believe that diversity
should be embraced, not merely tolerated, because the entire community
benefits when individuals with differences are valued.
Our Core Values are to:
Empower individuals with Down syndrome by promoting self-determination and self-advocacy as they make choices in life, work and relationships.
Educate families by providing quality support and information through inspiration, networking opportunities and educational programs.
Enhance communities by cultivating the community of professionals, leaders and others so that anyone who impacts the lives of individuals with Down syndrome will welcome them with fairness, enthusiasm and encouragement.
