University of Cincinnati's Great Hall

The Postsecondary Education Collaborative, including the DSAGC, recognizes that there are still many students, parents, teachers, counselors, university staff, and university faculty who are not aware that college and other forms of postsecondary education is an option that can be explored in the planning from high school to adulthood.

The Postsecondary Education Collaborative (PoSEC)'s mission is to promote postsecondary education opportunities for students with intellectual disabilities.

PoSEC is sponsoring a Postsecondary Education Conference targeting to parents, students, teachers, counselors, school administrators, nonprofit professionals, social workers, university staff and university faculty in the Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana region.

The projected 200 attendees will attend sessions from keynote speaker, Dr. Deb Hart, and self-advocates with intellectual disabilities who have attended college, and breakout sessions with representatives of regional universities including Northern Kentucky University, Xavier University and the University of Cincinnati.

The Conference will include a luncheon that will recognize university staff and faculty who have worked to advance the inclusion of people of all types and abilities in higher education.
