Fundraising Events

The Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati (DSAGC) relies solely on the contributions of individuals, foundations, corporations and fund raising events to support the work of our organization. These funds enable us to provide all of our programs and services at little or no cost. We are very grateful to our community for their continued support of our organization. This continual support indicates an endorsement of the valuable service that we are uniquely qualified to provide to our constituents. There are three major fundraising events that are held annually by the Down Syndrome Association of Greater Cincinnati.

The Annual Buddy Walk

The DSAGC Annual Buddy Walk is one of the largest Buddy Walks in the Country! The Buddy Walk is a trademarked program that was created by the National Down Syndrome Society in 1995 to assist local parent groups in their advocacy efforts. With more than 275 walks taking place in our city and around the country and abroad, we are able to speak with a unified and stronger voice on creating awareness of Down syndrome. The fun begins at Sawyer Point in Cincinnati, Ohio at 9:00 for day of registrants. Walkers will begin at 10:00 a.m. and end at the Proctor & Gamble Pavilion and walk either the short (less than a mile) or longer route through Sawyer Park, along the Ohio River. Once you have crossed the “Finish Line” the After-party begins on the P& G lawn! From 10:30am to 12:30pm, enjoy games, food, fun and entertainment from local bands and some very special guests. DSAGC Golf Tournament hosted by Dave Lapham

The Annual Golf Tournament is held at Ohio’s #1 rated public golf course, Shaker Run Golf Club in Lebanon, Ohio. This fun-filled all day event creates an exciting atmosphere for all participants and volunteers to benefit from; five man scrambles, hole-in-one, closest to the pin, longest drive, and skins contests are just a few examples of the events fulfillment. Along with the exhilaration on the course, a raffle, live and silent auctions, awards, and prizes are to be given throughout the evening.
