TEACHER EDUCATION PROGRAMThe Teacher Education Program was created in an effort to support the educators in our area who work with our children. The DSAGC supports teachers, assistants, administrators and all personnel in a variety of ways. The "Strategies For Success" newsletter for educators, is published three times per year. It contains information on teaching strategies to accommodate the learning needs of students with Down syndrome. Two half-day workshops are conducted each year to address topics of concern to classroom teachers which are designed and presented by area experts. In addition, we maintain an interactive teacher email network and provide written materials in an information packet. The DSAGC can also provide presentations to school personnel to offer information on ways to assist students with Down syndrome. Contact Sally for more information.
