Early Matters Meetings

Baby Matters Meetings - The DSAGC organizes meetings for familes with guest speakers who address topics of interst for parents of children ages birth to 3. Email Martha for more information.

Pre School Matters Meetings - The DSAGC conducts quarterly workshops led by local area experst who address topics of interst to families with children ages 3 to 5. In addition, a light dinner is provided to allow families the opportunity to network and socialize. Email Martha.

Many local groups and organizations also provide meetings and learning opportunities for children.

  • Developmental Play Therapy is provided free to DSAGC families in four area locations. These sessions are led by a licensed therapist to assist parents in learning how to increase strength, endurance, and development in their children.
  • Brown County Satellite Group – This group was formed for families living in Brown, Highland, Clinton or Adams counties. They offer social events, speakers, networking, parent support and more. Contact Shayna Hansel at soniathanselshayna@gmail.com for more information.
  • KIDS (Kentuckians Interested in Down Syndrome) – KIDS meets on the second Monday of each month at 7 pm at Redwood School in Ft. Mitchell, KY. Speakers address topics of interest to parents of children of all ages. Contact Roben Dixon at dixonfam@fuse.net for more information.
