Abilities First Foundation 

Abilities First provides services for children and adults with disabilities, developmental delays and other special needs in Southwest Ohio. Over 1,000 clients are served annually by 115 employees in an eight county region.

Alzheimer's Association

The Greater Cincinnati Chapter of the Alzheimer's Association is one of over 200 chapters across the United States based within local communities to provide services to families and those afflicted with the disease.

Arc of Ohio 

The Arc of Ohio advocates for A Future with Human Rights, Personal Dignity, and Community Participation for people who have developmental disabilities and their families.

Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps 

The mission of the Bureau for Children with Medical Handicaps is to assure, through the development and support of high quality coordinated systems, that children with special health care needs and their families obtain comprehensive care and services which are family-centered, community-based, and culturally sensitive.

Cincinnati Occupational Therapy Institute (COTI) 

COTI specializes in sensory integration and works with individuals, children and adults, with sensory processing disorder or other related problems including gross motor and fine motor problems, handwriting problems, difficulties with activities of daily living, sensory modulation disorders, behavior issues, self-regulation problems, and difficulties with attachment.  Camp OdakOTa is for children who are 6-12 years old and who have sensory processing disorder or related problems.

Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding & Horsemanship 

The mission of Cincinnati Therapeutic Riding and Horsemanship (CTRH) is to serve children and adults with disabilities by helping them lead happier, healthier lives through participation in our equine-assisted activities and therapies including adaptive recreational horseback riding, hippotherapy, and equine facilitated learning.  CTRH is committed to the principle that individuals with disabilities are entitled to the same opportunities and rights as their non-disabled peers.

Cincinnati TOP Soccer 

Cincinnati TOP Soccer allows every child with special needs in Cincinnati the opportunity to participate, contribute, and excel in the game of soccer. 

Downs Designs

Thier goal is for every person with Down syndrome to have proper fitting clothes made for their unique body shapes. They also want to make clothes that are comfortable, easy to get on and off and that are stylish. Downs Designs clothes are more than just shortening a sleeve or taking up a hem, they take design a step further.

Dramakinetics 

Dramakinetics is a non-profit organization that teaches performing arts to children, teens and adults for fun and function (emphasis on FUN).  They engage individuals of all abilities through movement, music and drama to help empower all individuals to reach their full potential!

Easter Seals Tristate 

Easter Seals provides services to help children and adults with disabilities and/or special needs as well as support to their families.  They provide top-quality, innovative services tailored to meet the specific needs of the people they serve.  Some types of services provided are employment and training, adult services, autism services, children’s services, medical rehabilitation, etc.

First Steps

First Steps is Kentucky's statewide early intervention system that provides services to children with developmental disabilities from birth to age 3 and their families. First Steps is Kentucky's response to the federal Infant-Toddler Program. First Steps offers comprehensive services through a variety of community agencies and service disciplines and is administered by the Department for Public Health in the Cabinet for Health and Family Services.

Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Service 
Hamilton County Developmental Disabilities Services provides an overview of Board services and programs, a history of the agency and a chronology of events, plus a feedback line and a volunteer line.

Inclusion Advocates

Inclusion Advocates are dedicated to helping parents successfully negotiate disputes with their local school districts, coming to agreement on many of the tough issues inherent in today’s educational climate.  They assist families within both public and non-public school settings, and has supported students with a wide range of disabilities and educational needs.

Jane and Richard Thomas Center for Down Syndrome 

The Jane and Richard Thomas Center for Down Syndrome is part of the Division of Behavioral Pediatrics at Cincinnati Children's Hospital Medical Center.The Center conducts ongoing research and offers interdisciplinary evaluations and interventions for infants, children, adolescents and young adults with Down syndrome.They offer assessments by experts in developmental and behavioral pediatrics, speech/language pathology, social work, feeding, occupational and physical therapy, psychology and special education.

Kentucky Access

Kentucky Access is a state authorized health plan that offers medical coverage to Kentuckians who find it difficult to obtain health insurance in the individual insurance market.

Mayerson JCC 

The JCC recognizes the importance of serving people of all abilities, and currently provides programs that accommodate children, teens, young adults, and seniors with disabilities.

Melodic Connections

Melodic Connections is comprised of board certified music therapists and other like-minded people dedicated to empowering the lives of special needs individuals through musical expression and performance.  This mission will be carried out by providing adaptive group guitar and piano lessons to exceptional children, adolescents, and adults.

Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities

The mission of the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities is to ensure the availability of services and supports that assist individuals in living the life they choose; to promote their health and safety; and to assist and support the families of these individuals in achieving these goals.

Ohio Legal Rights Service 

The Ohio Legal Rights Service provides information and referral, professional advice, and representation on the broad spectrum of cases involving discrimination, abuse, neglect, or rights violations.

Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission

The mission of the Ohio Rehabilitation Services Commission is to work in partnership with people with disabilities to assist them in achieving greater community participation through opportunities for employment and independence.

PLAN of Southwest Ohio 

PLAN of Southwest Ohio's objective is to step in where families do in terms of coordinating care and assisting individuals over their lifetimes. PLAN hopes to become a sort of surrogate family member for people with disabilities over their lifetime.

Project SEARCH 

Located at Cincinnati Children's Hospital, Project SEARCH provides employment and education opportunities for individuals with significant barriers to employment, such as people with disabilities, those on public assistance and the working poor. 

Recreation Unlimited 

Recreation Unlimited offers 1 week camps for campers ages 8 through adulthood. The camp is located in Ashley, Ohio.

Stepping Stones - Ohio 

Since 1963, Stepping Stones has been helping people with disabilities find pathways to independence that will improve their lives and enable them to be fully participating members of their communities.

The Academy of Medicine of Cincinnati 

A Cincinnati site that has a pictorial "Find A Physician" section allowing a search by specialty, name or zip code. In addition, they list facts regarding Living Wills, Definitions of Medical Specialties, and many links to other reliable web sites.

UCEDD

University Centers for Excellence in Developmental Disabilities (UCEDD) exist in every state and territory to serve as a resource in the areas of education, research and service to meet the needs of people with developmental disabilities.

Woodbine House is a publisher specializing in books about children with special needs since 1985. They offer great resources for for parents, children, therapists, health care providers, and teachers.
