Down syndrome and Tourette Syndrome

As a parent or caregiver you may have concerns that your loved one with Down syndrome may have more pronounce motor or vocal tics that may be associated with Tourette syndrome.  These tics may be sudden, involuntary, brief, repetitive movements and vocalizations. We encourage you to speak to your healthcare team about your concerns and bring in data that illustrates what you are noticing.  This can be a video or other documentation of these episodes.
