We organize a variety of events, both large and small, throughout the year that attract long-time supporters as well as new families and friends. Your financial commitment and assistance will allow us to run our events at the highest level, while minimizing our expenses. This allows us to maximize our fundraising potential! This means we will have more resources to put directly back into the programs and services we provide to our individuals and families.
Buddy Walk
The Buddy Walk is the DSAGC's largest fundraiser of the year! Celebrating inclusion and promoting acceptance, the walk is a one-mile stroll through Yeatman's Cove and Sawyer Point with entertainment at every turn. After the walk, the after-party kicks off and all participants are treated to complimentary food, drinks, bounce houses, music, activities, and much more.
Golf Outing
Our annual Golf Outing hosted by Dave Lapham takes place in June at Maketewah Country Club. Teams of 4 play a scramble of 18 holes while treated to breakfast, lunch, and dinner. Rain or sine, this event always sells out and introduces new people to our mission. This smaller setting might be the perfect way to show your support. Sponsors are also invited to a special evening reception prior to the event.
Family Events (Winter Dance, Summer Picnic, Holiday Party)
We realize the importance of getting families together for social and networking opportunities. We offer these exciting and memorable events to our families at little to no cost. All attendees are part of our DSAGC family and will feel your love and support of the community with your sponsorship.
DS Press
Our DS Press magazine reaches over 3,000 people. Show your support for individuals with Down syndrome while reducing the costs we incur to publish this widely circulated and much-treasured resource.
Some of our sponsors choose to sponsor one particular event, while others choose a multifaceted sponsorship package. We are also open to creative conversations about in-kind donations of goods or services your company might be able to provide at our events.
